  1. How about a governor? Looking at Michigan, where Gov. Evers just ordered all state employees not to cooperate with federal officials.

So would that count as an act of rebellion against the union? Can we implement the President Lincoln precedents now?

  2. By the way, can someone help me catch up? Are we for family separation or against it?

I remember during the First Trump Administration, ICE separated illegal immigrants minor children from the accompanying adults over concerns that the adults might not be actual parents but might instead of child traffickers. There was howling on the Left about children in cages.

Last week, an illegal immigrant mother being deported decided to take her American-born child with her, rather than be separated from the child, leaving it behind in foster care or an orphanage. There was howling on the Left about children NOT being in cages.

I realize the Left’s position is that an illegal immigrant who has a child on American soil has dropped an anchor which entitles both mother and child to remain here forever (but don’t call them “anchor babies” because that’s unfashionable). And since the mother and child are here, “family reunification” requires us to admit the father, siblings, half-siblings, neighbors, classmates. That’s the Left’s position but there’s nothing in the Constitution requiring that.

The closest thing is the 14th Amendment which says all persons born in the United States are citizens thereof. Fine, the kid is a citizen and can’t be forcibly deported with the mother. But that doesn’t mean the mother can’t voluntarily take her kid rather than leave the kid behind. Yes, it’s a horrible choice, akin to mothers tossing babies to soldiers during an evacuation from a war zone, hoping the child might have a chance to live even though the rest of the family is about to die. But the mother made the choice. Judges should not second-guess it.

  3. To your point, Bigman, Jack Tomczak had some woman as a guest on his show on Saturday, who obviously fell for the lie about the two year old child being deported. Her, Jack and NASCAR Kelli, were all wailing about due process for all of these invaders, claiming that if we didn’t stick to that, we were no better than the left. I totally disagree. The Dems didn’t even vet these people coming in, let alone use “due process”, so they should get none to be expelled.
Now, speaking of people being “wrongly deported”, every administration going back to Clinton, has made many mistakes in deportation, but those weren’t a problem. Furthermore, Obama expelled over 3.7 million invaders and Russian diplomats, yet there were no injunctions by rogue, anti-constitution lawyas and not a peep from the media.
